Introduced in 1989, the Subaru Legacy has always been a welcome alternative in the sedan market for drivers who want all-weather capability. Six production cycles later, the Legacy still remains the only sedan with standard all-wheel drive. For 2019, the vehicle is split into base-level, Premium, Sport, and Limited trim levels. Two prefixes—2.5i and 3.6R—are assigned depending on the type of engine installed on the trim.
